First, I'll give you the story as to what went on, followed by my opinion.

AskMen.com's Most Desirable of 2010 belongs to Emmanuelle Chriqui.

The following is something that I copied and pasted off of some website –

AskMen.com always tries to beat out other men's mags by announcing their "most desirable" women early on in the year. Last year the woman they considered sexiest was the stunning Eva Mendes, with Megan Fox coming in second. For 2010, however, Megan Fox didn't even make the top ten (she came in at number 11), and fresh-faced 'Entourage' and 'You Don't Mess with the Zohan' star Emmanuelle Chriqui nabbed the top spot (she finished 12th last year). So were men irritated by the tease of Megan Fox nude scenes in 'Jennifer's Body', which were nonexistent? Well, AskMen's new sexiest woman Emmanuelle Chriqui has never done nude scenes either, so that can't be it.

Perhaps Megan Fox was just a little too overexposed last year, with the young actress catching a lot of flack for questionable comments. In fact, Coed Magazine has a collection of ten of her worst, where she admits to not flushing the toilet, says that she's Alan Alda's doppelganger, and admits to being bisexual but states that she would not be with another girl that's bisexual. And then she shares her very deep thoughts about flatulence. Her overexposure and inability to keep her mouth shut even earned her a special day on the Internet in 2009: A Day Without Megan Fox. In 2009, we were considering her the next Angelina Jolie, and in 2010, it looks like Megan Fox is going to have to do something more than look pretty than impress us (at this point, I think it's going to take more than nude scenes, which Megan Fox has said she would never do anyway).

And if you take a side-by-side look at Emmanuelle Chriqui and Megan Fox, you'll definitely see a difference between the two: Emmanuelle Chriqui looks more like a "real" approachable girl, with a friendly face and smile. Megan Fox, on the other hand, looks like a fembot that would eat you alive. There's just something more natural-looking about Emmanuelle Chriqui, who has also been number 8 on FHM's list of the sexiest girls in 2008. And this approachable, natural look is a trait the rest of the sexiest women on AskMen's 2010 list share. Model Marissa Miller comes in second, followed by Kate Beckinsale, Alessadra Ambrosio, Jessica Alba, Beyonce, Penelope Cruz, Cheryl Cole, Eva Mendes, and Miranda Kerr. What the sexiest women on this list have in common is that they are all known as being natural beauties, and you rarely hear of them being accused of undergoing plastic surgery procedures or using botox.

So perhaps 2010 signifies a shift in what kind of women men consider the sexiest. The consensus on young starlets like Heidi Montag getting plastic surgery seems to be that guys and girls alike prefer someone who looks real, and AskMen's 2010 list definitely reflects that. On the list you will find mothers, women over 30, and even one actress that gets made fun of quite frequently for her looks (for some reason, 'Family Guy' just can't get over Penelope Cruz' nose). Plus only three of the women on the list have appeared in nude scenes (Cruz, Beckinsale, and Mendes).

So when it comes to what we consider sexiest in 2010, it looks like nips and tucks, nude scenes, and Megan Fox are out, while natural beauties not known for making stupid comments are in.

My Opinion:

For a list to name Chriqui as the "Most Desirable" cannot be taken seriously. This would've made sense a few years ago, but not today. I never took this list seriously. We will have to wait and see until the OFFICIAL list comes out later this year when FHM gives out the results of how men voted. I will bet you that Chriqui will not be placed among the top 20 when that list comes out. Emmanuelle was named number 1 last moth, but this news came to my attention yesterday, further showing how insignificant that list is to me. If it were FHM or Maxim, I would've been right on top of the action.

I don't agree with Emmanuelle being number 1 in any year, but that article does bring up some valid points. The part where it was mentioned that the women on the list are natural beauties and how they are rarley accused of having and surgery done to enchance their appearance. I read a few times on this forum how some of you think that Megan Fox is a natural beauty. I don't know how people can be so oblivious to think that everything about Megan's body is God-given. She's in no way unattractive. Just don't sit there and say that everything about Megan's beauty is NATURAL. That, on top of the fact that she is known for saying outlandish things, can cost her a third consecutive title for the REAL championship when FHM comes out with their list. I'm not saying that Megan should change her ways. I'm just saying that that list could reflect how the FHM list will play out later this year when millions of men cast their votes. Those voters could take those things into consideration. They (askmen.com) also have a point when they bring up the possibility of Megan being overexposed as a cause for her decline on their stupid list. I told you guys on this forum a few months ago that too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. I said that too much Megan Fox exposure will get everyone to be sick and tired of her (or something along those lines). But, no. You people wanted Megan Fox's name out there 24/7, it seemed. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. In other words, the lack of something increases the desire for it. But when I first made that argument, people here didn't want to hear it. Now look what happened. Overexposure got her off the top ten. I HOPE this is not a sign of things to come for Megan. I won't be surprised if Megan doesn't win FHM's list this year. However, I will be SHOCKED if she misses the top ten, just like she did on AskMen.com's list.

If you were to go outside right now and ask 100 random guys who they think is the sexiest, Emmanuelle's name will not be the first one to come out of their mouths.

Like I said, I think this list does not peak into my radar as something that is that significant. Wait until the worldwide media coverage of FHM's list to see how we really feel about all of this. However, you have to take their points into context and grim with the possibilty that Megan's peak has already reached its mark and that it's time for someone else to bask in all the glory that comes with being crowned Sexiest Woman in the World. If Megan stays in the top ten (she should be in the top five still), then everything will be just fine for now.

Also worth noting: That report talked about how how Emmanuelle was placed 8th on the 2008 edition of the FHM list. Did you notice how they failed to mentioned how she did on the FHM list last year? I don't know how she did with the UK voters, but in the US edition, she was placed NINETY FIRST. She was in the top ten the year before that. Talk about being dropped off the face of the planet. I have NO reason to believe that she will beat out Megan Fox when it's really on the line when FHM comes to town.

I believe 10 million people's opinion is more important than the opinion of a few Askmen.com members.

I dont care about this. She doesnt have potansiel about to beat Megan, she even doesnt have that potansiel to beat the women who are in Top 10.
