Breaking News: Megan Fox Leaves Transformers Franchise

May 19th, 2010 105 comments

Transformers 3 news are hitting the web saying that Megan was dropped from the movie :O

Apparently Paramount Pictures has decided not to pick up the option on Megan Fox’s contract for Transformers 3 and will begin to search for a new female lead immediately.

A rep for Paramount confirmed to CNN that Megan Fox won’t be back to reprise her “Transformers” role of Mikaela Banes for a third time.

This is really strange… Megan was seen in Transformers 3 set, Patrick Dempsey was going to play her boss in the movie, Michael Bay confirmed she was returning :O

But CNN is a reliable source… She’s probably out

UPDATE:

A rep for Megan tells People Magazin it was her choice to leave the franchise:

“It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best.”

Now it kinda makes sense

A New Jonah Hex Teaser, Still, Poster and Megan in Mikaela Banes Makeup

May 14th, 2010 17 comments

I’m going to start this post with Transformers 3 news.

Here is a new single picture from Transformers 3 set in Los Angeles California. This is Megan in her Mikaela Banes makeup for the third installment of the franchise. I really like how she looks here, much better than the “orange” look from Transformers 2, I hope this is how she’ll look in the movie.

Next up we have new stills from Jonah Hex, but just one features Megan’s character Leila holding an axe. So sexy!

Thirdly here’s a a new Jonah Hex poster which features Leila

Finally we have a new teaser from Jonah Hex, it has a few seconds of never-before-seen footage from the flick

Transfomers 3 Update 2.0

March 29th, 2010 6 comments

Sorry guys for the late update but I’ve been pretty busy lately. They say better late than never :)

Michael Bay has revealed the filming locations for Transfomers 3

Transformers 3 has been going very well. We are going to shoot in LA, Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow, and China

(via michaelbaydotcom)

Also Bay has revealed that 3 new actors are going to be part of the cast: Jonh Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Ken Jeong.

On the talent front, we just locked in Frances McDormand and John Malkovich. Both amazing actors I’ve always wanted to work with. We also just got Ken Jeong, he is the super funny actor stuck in the trunk from “Hangover” and the Doctor from “Knocked Up.”

Malkovich will play Sam Witwicky’s first boss while McDorman will play the National Intelligence director.

And Ferrari will join the franchise as a new autobot: The Ferrari 458 Italia.

I also was at a Ferrari charity event this week raising money for a hospital being built by Ferrari in Haiti. I announced that night the newest Autobot to join Transformers: the Ferrari 458 Italia.

Megan
has to drive the Ferrari, that would be SEXY!

Update on Megan Fox’s Upcoming Movies

February 5th, 2010 31 comments

There’s not much going on lately so I decided to do a small update on Megan’s new flicks.

Passion Play producer, Daniel Dubiecki posted this tweet on January 30th, 2010.

Passion Play update: 6 shoot days left… This dream is coming to an end. Megan wrapped yesterday, as did Rhys. What a film!

(via Twitter.com)

The shoots should end today and, as we reported back last month, Megan should be reshooting for Jonah Hex these days.

In a recent interview, Mickey Rourke tells Entertainment Weekly:

I didn’t know too much about her, except what I read. And I think the pleasant surprise was this girl who’s a world-class beauty turned out to be probably the best young actress I’ve ever worked with. I don’t know if a lot of her films have showcased her acting ability more than, say, being action-oriented, but she really stepped up the plate with this one and was very consistent and professional, beyond her years. At 23, I couldn’t do half of what she’s doing.

What a flattering comment!

Also, here is a new single pic of Megan dancing with Mickey Rourke on the set of Passion Play.

Regarding Transformers 3, reports say it’s going to start rolling in May 2010 and it will possibly be a 3D film.

The upcoming movie will kick off principal photography in May this year. Additionally, Screen Crave mentioned that Paramount Picture is considering to shoot the film in 3-D.

Michael Bay has said before he wouldn’t like to make a 3D film, but after the HUGE success of Avatar, the studio is pushing him to do it.

Finally, Bay has stated that the third installment of the movie is going to be different from the previous ones:

Although the number of robots increased significantly from the first film for the second, the third film — which will hit theaters in summer 2011, won’t be as robot-heavy and there will be fewer explosions. There will be a nice crescendo ending,” Bay said. It gets much more into the robot character. The last time you kind of met a few of the robots; this time you’re gonna get a much cooler landscape.

Transformers 3 Official Release Date and Megan Fox Confirmed!

October 1st, 2009 17 comments

transformers3Today Michael Bay announced the official release date for Transformers 3 and he also confirmed that Megan Fox will be returning. The release date is July 1, 2011 which is a year earlier than was previously speculated – we pretty much assumed that Megan would be returning but it’s nice to have a confirmation from a solid source. Bay had a message for Megan:

P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.
