Although there were rumours about the Fathom role which I posted about around 6 months ago (link), it appears that Megan is now confirmed for the Fathom project in which she will play Aspen. In addition to starring in the film, she will also be involved in the development as well.
In addition to that news, according to the HollywoodReporter.com, Megan is close to signing on to star in movie called Jonah Hex:
Fox is in final negotiations to star opposite Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in “Jonah Hex,” Warner Bros.’ action Western based on the DC Comics character. She also is attached to star and develop “Fathom,” Fox Atomic’s comic book-based underwater adventure.
In “Hex,” being directed by Jimmy Hayward, Fox will play Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex (Brolin), a scarred bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner (Malkovich) who wants to raise an army of undead to liberate the South.
The movie is prepping for a shoot in April, with Mad Chance’s Andrew Lazar and Weed Road’s Akiva Goldsman producing.
This is great news and it means we’ll be seeing Megan in more big projects over the next couple of years!

The sphincternet is blowing its collective load at reports that Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have amicably ended their 2+ year engagement.
The last few times this was reported it turned out to be false, along with ever other sensational Megan Fox story of the past couple of years.
What is the point of this post? Well there really isn’t really a point to the post except I just really wanted to incorporate the DHS graphic into the post to illustrate the absurdity of why anyone cares about this and how at the same time the world economy is in shambles, this will be a big ‘news’ story.
I’m not sure if I made a point; but am I satisfied? Indeed I am.
Don’t forget to check out The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards on NBC this Sunday (January 11th) from 8-11 PM EST – Megan Fox is scheduled to be a presenter at the event. I’m not sure if she is introducing someone or presenting an award, I guess we’ll have to watch to find out. We’ll have pictures and video after the event so come back and check them out.
Yahoo! Movies released the first teaser movie poster for Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In case you were not aware, the movie stars Megan Fox :)

The folks over at PopCardz.com e-mailed to let me know about Megan’s participation in “Series One” of their 40 card set featuring today’s hottest celebrities. Well of course Megan would be included in this list :)
Megan is donating her portion of the PopCardz proceeds to charity, she has chosen the Humane Society of the United States and by purchasing these cards, you are effectively donating to a bunch of different charities.
The cards can be purchased at over 6000 locations across North America, you can find out where to buy them as well as more information on the charities that benefit from the PopCardz.com website: HERE.

So according to those crackheads over at firstshowing.net, Megan Fox, along with Paul Giamatti have joined the cast (Richard Attenborough, Bob Hoskins, etc.) of Ironclad (IMDB Link) which is slated for release in December of 2009.
Well the good news is that it’s nice to see Megan getting more movie roles, the bad news it is in a movie with mother f’ing PAUL GIAMATTI?! Seriously, I can’t stand that guy – have you ever seen the movie Shoot ‘Em Up? It stars Paul Giamatti and it is HORRIBLE! Seriously, the movie is a 7/10 in IMDB and I don’t know that’s even possible. I can’t see this thing being a blockbuster or anything.
Anyways, take this rumour with a grain of salt, I haven’t heard any official confirmation so it may not be accurate. No details on who/what her role will be.
Well unfortunately Megan’s new movie How to Lose Friends and Alienate people didn’t do so great in its opening weekend at the box office. It pulled in about $1.4m and finished 19th! Beverly Hills Chihuahua finished #1 this weekend with $29m.
There are reports circulating around the sphincternet that Megan Fox has signed on with Fox Atomic Films movie adaptation of Fathom. She would reportedly play the lead role of Aspen. I hope the news is true, sounds like it will be pretty cool
From IGN.com: The project has been in development since 2001, when James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment acquired the rights to the comic.
Created by the late Michael Turner, Fathom follows the aquatic exploits of a beautiful girl named Aspen, brought to dry land on a boat thought to have sunk years ago. With no memories of who she is or where she came from, but with a clear affinity for the water, Aspen becomes an Olympic swimmer, a marine biologist and eventually gets involved in research at a high-tech underwater lab. At the lab, she discovers a mysterious underwater race, and her own water-based powers.
There is a lot of news making the rounds claiming that Megan Fox has in fact broken off her engagement to Brian Austin Green.
I don’t know if it is true or not since neither of them have actually confirmed or denied the news as far as I know.
The original news came from OK Magazine and many sites and news outlets are just repeating what they reported. In any event, good luck to both of them, whatever they decide to do.
Today, May 16th, is Megan Fox’s birthday. She was born in 1986 so that makes her 22 today. Happy Birthday Megan!
