Megan Fox’s Jennifer’s Body begins filming in March

Former sex worker Diablo Cody has followed her Oscar-nominated Juno script by penning comedy-horror Jennifer’s Body, while Jason Reitman will produce the movie, set to begin shooting in Vancouver this March.

Transformers star Megan Fox is to play the lead in the Fox Atomic film, portraying a demonically-possessed cheerleader who begins to take her pick of the high school boys in a Minnesota farming town.

And according to the Hollywood Reporter, Mean Girls star Amanda Seyfried has now been cast as her aptly-named best friend Needy, forced to take desperate measures to protect the small town from Jennifer’s ravenous rampage.

After running this site for almost 4 years now, it’s funny to watch how the media twists and sensationalizes things. Maybe it’s because I am little more aware of who Megan Fox is and how her career has evolved over the years and I’ve never doubted the sensationalistic (not and actual word) nature of the media; but seeing it first hand with regards to Megan, I have a whole new disgust for the media in general.

The first item that comes to mind was something I blogged about weeks before the mass media began reporting about it and that was Megan revelation that she had tried weed and it was ‘ok’. For the next week, every story about Megan coming down the pipe (pun intended) was how everyone in Hollywood is a cokehead and that Megan herself is a huge pothead. This was all taken from a single line of her Maxim interview.

The second thing I noticed, and this one is a repeat, is that Megan Fox HATES Lindsay Lohan. Megan has basically said that she was indifferent to the relationship, they worked together and that was it. No sexy catfights that resulted in goose down feathers flying as a result of a lingerie pillow fight followed by a lesbian makeout makeup session :(. This was already ‘reported’ months ago, for the record.
Anyways, enough about that, maybe I am just naive. In the absence of anything better to do, I am going to start a regular Megan Fox news headline recap because I find the headlines themselves are all you need to read to get all the info you need from the article. Just like you don’t need to watch anymore than the 30 second teaser commercial for Access Hollywood to get all the info you need (or can stomach).

Most of the reviews for the film have been positive for the big Transformers Movie, it’s currently 8.4/10 on the IMDB.com and 75% on RottenTomatoes.com which is pretty good. While I am not going to do a review myself (I haven’t seen it yet ), or post a bunch of reviews done by others, I’d like to share a few random quotes from other reviews, pertaining only to Megan’s performance (taken completely out of context and uncredited). After all, this is a Megan Fox site, not a movie review site
Her role in the film:

Megan Fox plays his sidekick Mikaela, the scantily dressed eye candy of the film, and Rachel Taylor plays the more properly dressed smart girl who helps the dumb old guys of the movie figure everything out.

Her potential:

Fox is extraordinarily easy on the eyes and even shows hints of acting talent…

Wait, what?:

And wow is Megan Fox hot, sometimes a bit distracting…

Fox is completely bland as the love interest, with a face that doesn’t change expressions regardless of the situation.

Ok so let me get this straight, because Megan has a tattoo on her back and and poses looking over her shoulder, she is trying to imitate baby Jesus’, mother Angelina Jolie and people are slagging her for it? Do these idiots think that Angelina Jolie invented back tattoo and over-the-shoulder-look-behind pose? The pose is done because you have a bunch of photographers screaming for them to turn around and show off their tattoo, you jackasses.

So she stole the back tattoo and the pose, next she must go to Africa or Cambodia or wherever and buy some orphan babies. I hope Brian Austin Green is up for it.

Michael Bay terrifies, seduces Megan Fox

At the ripe, tender, supple age of 19, Megan unsuccessfully auditioned for a role in Michael Bay’s production ‘The Amityville Horror’ but she obviously left Bay with an impression of her when casting for Transformers rolled around.

There’s a sweetness about her. I never had one girlfriend looking like that in my high school. Look at her.

Look at her, indeed. Fox said of the audition:

I was so scared and terrified that Michael Bay would be in the same room.

Fox says that she can appreciate the high expectations from the fans that Transformers carries, but she assures everyone that they will love the new flame-like paint job given to Optimus Prime.

Megan claims to be a fan the Xbox 360 mega hit game ‘Gears of War’ and was excited to learn that Michael Bay was involved in producing the commercials. Do you think she’s every even played the game? Everyone knows it was Gary Jules haunting rendition of Mad World that made those commercials the success that they were, if Michael Bay picked the song, then I give him full credit.

This also puts into doubt her claim that she is a fan of The Strokes and the Beastie Boys, as I am quite certain Michael Bay has never played a production role in either a Strokes or Beastie Boys record release.

Megan Fox tattoo regret, stoner edition

It probably seemed like a great idea at the time, but a tribal design tattoo, one of the 9 currently adorning the otherwise perfect body of Megan Fox, didn’t turn out as planned and resulted in a messy black mark when instead of conducting tattoo sales, the skin artist proprietor conducted a bake sale instead. It’s crazy because when you think of ‘tattoo artist’, the LAST thing you think of is weed! Amirite?

“The guy was smoking weed while he tattooed me and he didn’t do it correctly. Now it’s nothing and I’m gonna get it removed. I was told he was a really amazing tattoo artist but he wasn’t on his game that night. He was distracted.”

No doubt Megan has learned her lesson ~~and plans to have all her other tattoos removed~~ and will be more careful when selecting her next ink dude.

The July 2007 issue of Maxim Magazine features Megan Fox on the cover, a multi-page photo spread featuring all of her horrible tattoos and a one on one interview with the up and coming starlet. I’ve transcribed a few quotes from the interview.

On Transformers:

On highschool popularity:

Bitchy girls tortured me on school. They’d say horrible things and throw ketchup packets at me …(editors note: I wonder if it was Heinz Ketchup?)
